In 2018, John & Marchelle (Shelley) Ledfors moved from their home on the block in coastal Oregon, to a retirement adventure on 21 acres in the high desert of northwest New Mexico.
Beekeeping came first. Planting an abundant variety of flowers for the bees expanded into a flower farm. Beauty and the Bees was born!
The seasonal, specialty cut flowers, and quality, local honey they offer for sale are produced using natural, sustainable methods.

You can find them at the Farmington Growers Market on Saturday mornings from mid-June through late October.

Beauty and the Bees will continue to grow a wide variety of flowers for the market, special orders, weddings etc. Beginning in 2024, however, their primary focus will shift to growing dahlias through their new division, 505 Dahlias!

"Look! I’m doing a new thing;
now it sprouts up; don’t you recognize it?
I’m making a way in the desert,
paths in the wilderness." Isaiah 43:19
