In 2018, my husband John and I moved from our home on the block in coastal Oregon, to a retirement adventure on 21 acres in the high desert of northwest New Mexico.

 

By 2020, we began selling flowers and honey at local growers markets, first in Bloomfield, then in Farmington.

 

We no longer sell our own honey, but you can find our flowers (plus some new introductions) at the Farmington Growers Market on Saturday mornings from mid-June through late October.

2025 brought major changes to Beauty and the Bees. My dear husband, John, passed away. John and I were best friends, soulmates, and were together 24/7 following his retirement in 2010, which brought us even closer. We traveled and pursued shared dreams. Moving forward is incredibly difficult, but it's what John would want, so our son Jesse and I are continuing the legacy.

One of the dreams my husband and I had was to open an on-farm shop. In May, when John was still with us, we opened the then partially finished Beauty and the Bees Shop for a well-received three-day Mother's Day event. After John passed, Jesse and I finished the shop and opened for Thanksgiving and Christmas sales.

​

In addition to selling flowers and craft items in Beauty and the Bees Shop, we now offer our new line of home-produced baked goods and treats. We have also added gifts, plus quality items from other vendors -- including locally produced skin care products and organic honey.

​

Starting in 2026 we will sell our new specialty Cottage Bakery and Sweet Shop line at the Farmington Growers Market, too, in addition to our beautiful flowers.

​

We have several on-farm events and open shop days planned. Dates and times will be announced on our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram.

We also do weddings, events, and special orders any time.
